ndian Transformer Manufacturers Association (ITMA) is an all India body representing 90% production of the Transformers in the country with an objective of promoting the interest of Transformer Manufacturers and its Allied Industries and to voice the problems of the Industry whenever situation so warrants with the Government of India, State Governments, Discoms, Transmission Utilities and Gencos etc. It has played a constructive role in the solution of problems of mutual interest between the industry, utilities and others. Now in its 34 years of existence, ITMA continues to provide unique services to its members. ITMA has created a powerful lobby for the transformer and allied Industries by establishing a very good rapport with the Ministry of Power, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Steel, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Small Scale Industries, CEA, PFC, REC, BEE, NTPC, PGCIL, CPRI, BBMB, BIS, Test Houses, Utilities, GENCOS, TRANSCOS, DISCOMS, Power Companies and Excise & Customs departments, DGFT, & MMTC etc. Consequently with the immense recognition of ITMA there has been steady increase in membership and today the number stands at 260. This Association has been circulating important circulars/ and other useful material relating to the Transformer and Allied Industry to the members and rendering all possible help as requested by them from time to time.
ITMA inform all members from time to time about important decisions on Foreign Trade, Banking and Finance, Company Law & Taxation, Tender information price variation circulars, Specifications, Representations, Notifications, Press release, Policy matters, Public Notice, Industrial technology on relevant matters obtained from various sources. Further we also Keep a track of latest developments in Transformer Technology and make all efforts to enlist help from foreign members/advertisers/embassies etc. for seeking knowledge for the benefit of our Association.
