11 th International Conference cum-Exhibition on Transformers [TRAFOSEM-2011] was organized jointly with CEA, REC, BEE, BIS, CPRI, PGCIL, NTPC, BBMB, ERDA, BPTI, NPTI and PHDCCI,ASSOCHAM and India Energy Forum as a supporting associations on 21st & 22nd November 2011 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Shri.G.B. Pradhan,Secretary,Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India ,inaugurated TRAFOSEM 2011with great fanfare in the presence of other guests of honor from other organizations such as CEA,BEE,POWERGRID,NTPC,REC,BBMB etc.More thean 500 Delegates from Utilities/SEBs, Gencos/Trancos, Discoms EPC contractors/agencies, Consultants, ITMA members/Non-members and also from USA ,UK, Korea, China, Japan , Zambia attended the event. Thegathering was addressed by Senior ITMA members for welcome by Shri N.Visweswarareddy,Managing Director, Shirdi Sai Electronical Limited,while shri Anil Agarwal, President ITMA and CMD of PME, Power Solution India Limited,delivered his presidencial Address, Shri D.J. Ramesh ,Past President ITMA and CMD of Vijai Electricals Ltd delivered Key note address and shri Surendra Guupta Sr.Vice-President, ITMA proposed Vote of Thanks. The objective of the conference was to provide a forum to discuss on “Current & Furturistic prospects of Transformer Technology on Global Horizon and Challenges for Indian Power Sector” not only india but also in foreign countries amongst Manufacturers, Utilities, Poser Industry to share experience, knowledge at global level so as to meet the challenges and evolve new strategies for generation of power and other aspects arising out of Transmission & Distribution Reforms,Electricity polices, restructuring of vertically integrated SEBs for supplying power at reasonable cost.To play a role in reducing the cost of equipment production with utmost customer satisfaction without affecting quality,reliability with deep sense of commitment in order to increase the comjpetitiveness both in domestic and export market for the economic growth of the country.
